I remember hearing an AT40 broadcast with Ryan Seacrest hosting in April 2005, and if memory serves correctly, I heard a newer song by Duran Duran on that broadcast. Was it actually on the charts during that time, and if so where did it peak at? Or was it actually an AT40 extra during some point in April 2005?
I'd be pretty darn surprised if Duran Duran had a top 40 hit in 2005, given the trend that we were evolving into an era where Rihanna, Katy Perry, and other modern singers were dominating the charts.

The name of the song you are thinking of was probably "(Reach Up for the) Sunrise." I remember it was either a sure shot or debuted on the Weekly Top 40 HAC chart in like the 1st or 2nd week of January 2005.

Duran Duran had two Top 20 Hot AC hits in 2005, Reach Up For The Sunrise and What Happens Tomorrow. I don't think they ever hit CHR but I know Casey and Ryan played them on AT20 and AT40 HAC respectively

According the en.wikipedia.org, (Reach Up For The) Sunrise did hit the Hot 100 back in 2005, but it only peaked at 89. Their last Top 40 hit was "Come Undone" back in 1993.

Duran Duran charted on AT40 and CT40 with "Too Much Information" in 1993. I believe they were also on CT40 in 1996-97 with "Electric Barbarella". Their only appearances in the 21st century were "Sunrise" and "What Happens Tomorrow" from the Astronaut album. I believe they made an entry in 2007 on AT40 HAC with "Falling Down". Good question.

Duran Duran's last CHR top 40 hit to date was "Electric Barbarella", which peaked at #29 on CT40 on 11/1/97. "Falling Down" did hit the hot AC version of AT40 in 2007-08; it peaked in the mid-20s. Had it gone a few notches higher it would have made Casey's AT20.
