The Stones are still rolling after half a century. I'm surprised they didn't break up yet.
Coming from someone who is not a huge fan of the Stones (though some of their stuff I do like, but not a lot), this is an amazing feat! Makes me wonder if they will make the Guinness Book of World Records for the oldest band on record?
But in either event, because of today's generation listening to crap by Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Rihanna, and other current artists, it's a wonder The Stones are not Top 40 material anymore.

Well, Maroon 5 and Ke$ha have recently hit #1 with songs explicitly referring to Mick Jagger, so it's fair to say that he and the band continue to broadly resonate. Which makes it even more inexplicable that they (and most other veteran artists) get little or no current top 40 play, even while selling lots of albums and concert tickets.

Well, you didn't see airplay for Mozart in early '86 when Falco hit #1 in a song that mentioned him did you?

Mick Jagger actually did have a top 40 hit earlier this year... though he had to team up with Will.i.am and Jennifer Lopez to do it.
