It's funny how, as life presents new situations, sometimes song lyrics can take on an entire new meaning.
I heard the Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again" this morning and the lyrics just seemed to apply to yesterday's controversial healthcare news. Notice how the song's wording slants towards President Obama's position.
WON'T GET FOOLED AGAIN -- THE WHO
I'll tip my hat to the new constitution Take a bow for the new revolution Smile and grin at the change all around Pick up my guitar and play Just like yesterday Then I'll get on my knees and pray We don't get fooled again
The change it had to come We knew it all along We were liberated from the fold, that's all And the world looks just the same And history ain't changed 'Cause the banners, they all flown in the last war
I'll move myself and my family aside If we happen to be left half alive I'll get all my papers and smile at the sky For I know that the hypnotized never lie
There's nothing in the streets Looks any different to me And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye And the parting on the left Is now parting on the right And the beards have all grown longer overnight
I'll tip my hat to the new constitution Take a bow for the new revolution Smile and grin at the change all around Pick up my guitar and play Just like yesterday Then I'll get on my knees and pray We don't get fooled again Don't get fooled again No, no!
Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
Meet the new boss Same as the old boss

Those last two lines are the most like him. He's no different then any politician before him, and unfortunately I think after him.
Ps-the last line was not an assault on Mitt Romney, just anyone who comes after no matter who it is, how it is, when it is, or why it is.

I win the bet. I had a $10,000 on Paul making a comment on this thread. Too bad, it was only a joking bet.

Politics is one of my major interests. Unfortunately I am totally apathetic towards them all. At least I'm consistent. I hate both parties and their Pom Pom waving "we can't do anything wrong because we are always right" cheerleading ideologues on the TV, radio, Internet, and life in general. When radio ratings and their change in computation becomes an opening for you to push your ideological agenda I have no use for you. Ps-hope you bet a real $100K on me responding again.

They're all liars, I just try to vote for the lesser of two evils...
Then again after Bush, a potted plant would have been an improvement!

They're all liars, I just try to vote for the lesser of two evils... Then again after Bush, a potted plant would have been an improvement! I think they've all gotten progressively worse since 88. I posted on Facebook I think last year that the last 11 years are making me pine for Bill Clinton...and I never voted for him! In 92 I was 16 and voted in the Channel 1 election if anyone remembers that show and voted for Perot. In 1996, I admit I voted for Dole. Ok, better stop now or someone may want to start a political war. To reiterate, it's now 2012 and I detest both parties.

I love both parties as long as they hire me for work. One of my best clients was a GOP U.S. Senator. Then, he lost the election. Then, I had DFL organizer hire me for fundraisers events as well. Put money in my pocket no matter the party you got my vote. No DJ/sound job, no vote...
