Did *AT40* ever appear in television fiction? That is: did Casey ever play himself anywhere, hosting the show? I don't think IMDB is going to tell me enough, even if it credits him as Himself.

In television fiction? Not that I'm aware of. However, in early 1981, a portion of an AT40 program was filmed as Casey was reading one particular show's script; it was featured on an episode of NBC Magazine.
And in movie fiction, there's audio but not video. Part of a fictionalized AT40 show was produced exclusively for, and featured in, the movie Scarecrow in 1973.

In the movie "Ghostbusters", Casey is heard on the radio telling a story about the ghostbusters. While not giving AT40's name, he says "now on with the countdown" at the end of his story.

This may not really count, but Casey once appeared on David Letterman's show parodying himself, counting down "The Top 10 Favorite Numbers From 1 to 10", pausing for a Long Distance Dedication (or Request and Dedication, as I think it was in his 1990s Westwood One period.)

I remember someone saying that AT40 was being played in the background of a 1974-1975 porno. Maybe that's where the Mary Poppins and Linda Lovelace comparison came alive

He was also on Saved by the Bell twice. One joke did is were he's in Mr Belding's office getting a school banner. He says something like "And tell you right after this". He then exits the door and comes right back in.

He also appeared on a Saturday Night Live sketch in 1993 in a spoof of America's Top Ten, where he discusses Frank Sinatra's "Duets" album and shows footage of the recording sessions (with Phil Hartman as Sinatra, Adam Sandler as Bono, Chris Farley as Meatloaf, and others).

^^The Letterman video, ostensibly, was ordered removed by Letterman.
^The SNL episode can be viewed by subscribers of Comcast/Xfinity.
