I bet she preferred her 1980s music more, it seems.
She was the disco queen, but it seemed like she regretted being associated with disco.
I'm downloading Debbie Gibson's hosted AT40 now as I post this. I have a feeling Donna Summer's last top 40 hit is on that survey. I will definitely be putting it on my iPod by the weekend.

Wow!-We've lost two female superstars within a three month period-First Whitney Houston & now Donna Summer-Summer was a fantastic singer & I'll bet she'll be giving a command performance in front of God & all the angels.

If she did dislike being associated with disco, then that is understandable. For a long time after the disco era ended, there was a backlash against it. So if you were a performer associated with that genre, you probably had difficulty selling records during that period. This probably applied to the Bee Gees as well.
So sad to hear of her passing. Whenever I feel like surfing for music videos, "On the Radio" and "No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)" are 2 of her performances that I regularly watch.

In the song "Bad Girls", mentioned in the lyrics is "the price is right". It would be ironic if Donna Summer died while CBS was airing The Price is Right where she lived. I think the news came out during or shortly after The Price is Right was airing.

I believe that Barry Scott is scheduled to do a tribute to Donna Summer this weekend on his show "The Lost 45's" which airs on WODS in Boston-By the way,WODS carries "AT40-The 70's"at midnight every Sunday.
