New Years eve will never be the same. Neither will life in general. If not for him, music, game shows and New Years wouldn't be what they are today?

Yeah, I have every reason to not record New Year's Rockin' Eve anymore. It just won't the same sans Mr. Clark at the helm. What Dick Clark was as a legend, Ryan Seacrest will be some years down the road. I will be watching The $25,000 Pyramid on Game Show Network on Friday night for sure, just to honor a great, talented man who entertained us for decades. Hard to believe a piece of my childhood and young adulthood is no longer with us.

By his own admission, Clark did not "have the most finely-tuned ears for rock and roll" and preferred Easy Listening music. His only "talent" was being a shrewd businessman.

For those of you who subscribe to Sirius/XM,noted musicologist/air personality Norm N.Nite will devote his entire show tomorrow (4/21) to Dick Clark-Clark & Nite were long time friends-Clark wrote the foreword to Nite's first book "Rock On-The Solid Gold Years" which was published in 1974 & updated in 1982-Nite's program airs both Saturday & Sunday from 3:00-6:00 PM Eastern Time on the "50's On 5" channel.
