I e-mailed KBSG 97.3 one of the local Classic Hits stations in my neck of the woods a while back asking about carrying AT40 the 70's or 80's and today I got a response back saying that the show will be carried starting August 5th, The show will air on sundays from 8AM-11AM Pacific Time. This is great news for me because finally one of Casey Kasem's shows is being carried in Seattle, in fact the last time one of Casey Kasem's shows was aired in Seattle it was American Top 10 and that was when KLSY 92.5 was still around. KLSY dropped the show when they became Mix 92.5, there is a station in Oak Harbor, Washington carrying American Top 10 but this is the first time anybody in Seattle has carried any of Casey's show since at least 2002. I can't wait for August 5th!

So they will NOT be carrying at40 the 80s? How did you "word" your original email? I've emailed 3 stations in my area and NONE have even responded.

Shadster, basically I mentioned what my name was and if the station could pick up either AT40 the 70's or AT40 The 80's, I also mentioned that I would love to hear some of the shows in my area and that I was a big Casey Kasem fan. Also, even i've had some stations that i've e-mailed not respond as well, i've e-mailed KXXO 96.1 in Olympia, WA, Warm 106.9(KRWM) in Seattle, WA and Star 101.5(KPLZ) in Seattle, WA about carrying AT20 or AT10 and only Star 101.5 replied back saying that if they got enough requests they would start carrying one of the shows. I also called KJR 95.7 in Seattle, WA about carrying AT40 The 70's or AT40 the 80's and even though they are owned by Clear Channel which owns Premiere Radio Networks which syndicates Casey Kasem's shows, the person I talked to said they had no plans to carry either show and this was several weeks before I e-mailed KBSG.
