Has anyone else here been hearing AM 1420 WKCW out of Warrenton, Virginia? For the last several weeks I've been hearing them here in upstate New York. Normally, the sound of oldies on the nighttime AM band is something I'd greatly welcome. But something's just not right here! The music is somewhat erratic and it sounds like there are only two advertisers. It's as if this station was put on autopilot and abandoned. And as for their booming nighttime signal, I know of one station near me on 1420 that has already filed an interference complaint with the FCC. I've found reception reports from some other locations in the eastern U.S. on DX message boards. Most agree that WKCW is not dropping their power at night as per their license.
If you want to try tuning them in, better do it soon. I have a feeling this station's days are numbered.

Wow, and I was impressed when I could pick up a station outta Connecticut at night!
Does the music seem random or is it always the same order, same songs, etc.
