Nine months ago, I posted a video of James Brown's "I Guess I'll Have To Cry, Cry, Cry." Today, I received an e-mail from You Tube. Forsooth (but not too forsooth):
Your video, James Brown, ''I Guess I'll Have To Cry, Cry, Cry'' (1968), may have content that is owned or licensed by UMG.
No action is required on your part; however, if you are interested in learning how this affects your video, please visit the Content ID Matches section of your account for more information.
So I went to Content ID Matches and found out that, Your video is blocked in 237 countries. (I won't bother to list them.)
The good news, however, is that, Your video is still available in 10 countries. And here they are:
Germany Guernsey Isle of Man Jersey Montenegro Saint Barthelemy Saint Martin South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands South Sudan West Bank
Don't you just envy the South Sudanese?

When I posted the story Casey Kasem told of Amazing Grace and the song by Judy Collins with it, it was blocked on arrival by Warner Brothers. I dont know how others get theirs through but I never had much luck other than the posting of Casey's speech prior to announcing #1 and the ending of the final AT20.

To ratchet up the stupidity factor:
The other James Brown video I posted, "Three Hearts in a Tangle," was not blocked despite being owned by the same entity as the blocked song!
