While listening to the 3/5/94 show shadow said after pearl Jam played at #40 he said they were at #29 last week and now slips one to #40. I wonder what else mistakes were made in the shadoe era regarding the charts?

In my research I remember finding some errors like that, especially in the later years of the show.

I recall one show where Shadoe identified Johnny Gill's hit "Rub You the Right Way" as "Rub ME the Right Way." Hmmmmm...

On the original run's finale in 1995, they mistakenly played the #17 jingle when really it was #10.

While listening to the 3/5/94 show shadow said after pearl Jam played at #40 he said they were at #29 last week and now slips one to #40. My apologies, but this isn't quite accurate. He says: "Pearl Jam...and Daughter. Got up to #29, and this week it slips one...to #40."On 2/18/89, he does state, though, that Tiffany had had nothing but Top 10 hits in her chart career (in his intro to "All This Time"). Said chart career - up to that point - also included the #50-peaking "Feelings of Forever".

Mike -- he probably meant her top 40 career, but your point remains.

I remember when Casey used to do "correction letters" all the time. I don't recall Shadoe doing any, but I'm sure it happened at least once.

I'm listening to the 4/8/89 show and he does read a correction letter from a listener about a mistake he made previously about paula abdul's first top40 hit.

^Is that the same week when they played the album version of "Orinoco Flow"? That was a good time period for music.
Anyway, I remember in May of June of 1989 when Shadoe announced that "I'm That Type of Guy" was in the wrong position the previous week. I don't remember if it was Billboard's fault or AT40's. Or if it was even noted.

Or if it was even noted. I remember that too... I seem to recall he mentioned that it was only the second time in AT40 history that that had ever happened (which is an incorrect statement itself!).

In October 1989 Shadoe corrects several facts from previous shows about the band Skid Row. These were brought to the show's attention by several letters from fans.

I think Shadoe (unless it was Casey) had mentioned in 1990 that Martha Wash was actually doing the vocals for Black Box. But when he introduced "Everybody Everybody" during the Top 100, he said it was Katrin singing.

Just heard one in the 7/17/93 show. He said that Def Leppard's Hysteria album produced 7 top 40 hits. Had only 6 but did have 7 that charted. "Women" was the first single but did not come close to the 40.

On the April 27, 1991 show, Shadoe played the Top 5 from that week in 1983, which were "Der Kommissar", "Mr. Roboto", "Jeopardy", "Come On Eileen", and "Beat It". But when he listed the names of the songs, he said they were "Der Kommissar", "Come On Eileen", "Let's Dance", "Jeopardy", and "Beat It". The played songs were from the Hot 100 on April 30; Shadoe's list was from the May 7 chart.
On the same show, he mentioned the title of Jon Bon Jovi's hit "Miracle" returned that week for Whitney Houston's hit, saying that's the first time that happened in the 1990s. Did he forget "Hold On" by En Vogue and Wilson Phillips (or did that not count since they charted simultaneously)?
