www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/entertainmentfeatures/view/1181466/1/.htmlSINGAPORE: Class 95FM listeners will hear a new voice over the airwaves next month.
Former MTV host Mike Kasem has joined the station on February 1 and will do his first radio show here in March.
Kasem told channelnewsasia.com in an interview last week that he had been about to sign a deal for a new countdown show in the US, when Class 95FM suddenly came knocking.
The choice was "a no-brainer".
"I kind of grew up here in Singapore, from 21-years old to almost 26-years old, so when they made me the offer, I just couldn't say 'no'.simila40 adds: New countdown show? For whom and where?

There is a short video of Mike on the station's website: entertainment.xin.msn.com/en/radio/class95/default.aspxI will speculate that if there had been a decent amount of interest for Kasem Kountdown, Mike would have stayed in the U.S. to do that instead of going to Singapore.

That's sad really that there is not enough interest in a countdown by a member of the Kasem family. I'm sure deep down, Mike is sad too that he could not continue the legacy of his dad. Wish him success in Singapore.

I will take Mike Kasem any day over that highly annoying Seacrest character.

I fully agree with you, Franky, and, hopefully, Mike will take over the hosting of AT40 in the future.
