CASEY IN RADIO DRAMAS

Casey made a guest appearance on ALIEN WORLDS, a brilliantly produced half-hour science fiction radio drama series from Watermark Inc. (1978-1980)

The episode "The Kilohertz War" was the first of the show's second season. Casey plays Major Ben Corbin who monitors a strange radio transmission and misinterprets it's meaning. (The fun part; this episode features samples from a much earlier piece of classic radio drama.)

Casey is first heard (in a filtered effect) at 3:31 into the show.

This is a very different Casey than we are used to hearing on AT40! Also in the cast is someone who subbed for Casey On AT40 on a couple of occasions. Since this was another Watermark Inc. show, listen for some familiar names in the closing credits.

A few years earlier Casey had a guest role in an installment of CBS RADIO MYSTERY THEATER. Actually it was dual roles, one of which had Casey using an accent. A ghost story set during the Revolutionary War, "The Headless Hessian" aired in September 1975.

Thanks for sharing this "galactic" side of Casey. To me, his role here was not unlike the part that he played in a made-for-TV movie, the "War of the Worlds" radio broadcast re-enactment, The Night That Panicked America.
