In Connecticut,"Flashback" is heard Sunday nights from 6-10 on 99.1 WPLR in New Haven-I've heard the show a few times & it's quite good-Sorry to hear that Bill St.James is stepping down as host-He was also an announcer on "Nick At Nite" & The Discovery Channel.

"Flashback" airs on 101.1 Coast-FM in St. John's on Friday evenings. Replays may air on weekends also. 97.5 K-ROCK (VOCM-FM) aired "Flashback" on Saturday afternoons from sometime in 2003 (September or October was when I first heard it) until the end of 2006, if I recall.
Like Ryan Seacrest is to AT40, Pinfield will turn "Flashback" into crap. I can just smell it happening.
January 13, 2012 will be a sad day for Bill St. James fans across the board. I know that legendary announcers have to leave at some point in their lives.
BTW, has "Flashback" really been airing since 1987?

Well, it turns out that Bill St. James' final appearance is going out a normal episode. No final remarks, going the way of Casey Kasem in August 1988.
Come to think of it, it doesn't surprise me one bit that Bill St. James isn't planning on a farewell episode at all.
This isn't the first time a final appearance goes out a normal episode. The final episode of Press Your Luck in September 1986 went out a normal episode, if I recall. CHiPs went out a normal episode in 1983 (to be quite truthful, they didn't know the end was coming). I wouldn't be shocked if Sesame Street goes out a normal episode when the show goes off the air - whenever that may be. They probably won't know the end is coming when the final episode is taped.

Oh, and I do have one request...
When Bill's final Flashback episode airs, could somebody please send me an MP3 copy of such broadcast? I wouldn't mind having another piece of history in my collection.

My guess is a new show with a similar format, hosted by Bill, will turn up sooner rather than later. I feel like Bill will join the likes of Casey, Bob Kingsley, and Dick Bartley, where his famous show will be taken from him, but his sucess will continue with a new show.
