Thanks to Clear Channel, you can now listen to continuous streaming AT40 shows from the 80's: www.clearchannelmusic.com/formatlab/at40.htmThis is thanks to CC's "Format Lab". Does this mean AT40 channels will be available some day as HD channels? It seems a possibility.

I've been listening to this channel, and it seems like they've had primarily the 3-hour AT40 Flashback shows.
I was hoping they'd air the full 4-hour versions... oh well...

^Cool! Was it the full four-hour version, or did it start with #37 ("Something About You" by Level 42)
I listened to it yesterday and heard part of the January 29, 1983 edition and then right after that was the November 1, 1980 show. I imagine that right after that was the 1983 show that jlbass mentioned, and then the 1986 show that charlypp was listening to.
Earlier this morning, they ran the July 9, 1988 show and currently, they are in the Top 20 of the April 7, 1984 edition. "They Don't Know" by Tracey Ullman just ended, at #15 (biggest mover, up 10) and now Casey's talking about the Rolling Stones' telephone, depicting their trademark logo of Mick's lips and tongue. LOL! Since "Undercover Of The Night" had fallen off the chart by now, they played what was definitely their most overplayed hit, "Start Me Up".

Wow, they must really like 1980! They're once again running a show from that year. It's an early 1980 show - possibly THE earliest one they ever did (January 19, 1980), with "Romeo's Tune" by Steve Forbert entering the Top 30. Then again, it could be the February 2 show. If it is, I wonder if they ran the first hour also?
EDIT: And they messed up. After playing "Yes I'm Ready" by Teri DeSario, they started playing "Right On Track" by Breakfast Club, at #11. WTF?
Now, they're back to the 1980 show, picking up at #22 ("Still" by the Commodores). They skipped song #23 and the archive song (if they even taped a version without it edited out).

Does anyone know if they will add other AT40 channels, maybe with 70's countdowns?

The early 1980 show from around 5pm EST this afternoon started at # 33 after the traditional AT40 Flashback intro. Too bad they were screwing up. I listened to a good portion of a January 1988 show before the 1980 one began.
This is great! Although I'm in the library now working on a paper and I can't get the sound on the computer to work. Argh!!

And, BTW, the 1988 show I heard played "Please Mr. Postman" as an extra from 1961 and it was not edited out.

Right now, they're doing a late summer '85 show. They just played a montage of #1 songs from the summer of '69, tying in with Bryan Adams' hit of the same title. I'm thinking this is probably the August 31, 1985 show.
EDIT: Next up is a 1982 show, with "Let Me Tickle Your Fancy" by Jermaine Jackson at #30 and Jackson Browne at #29 with "Somebody's Baby", so it sounds like August or perhaps September.

During the overnight hours Tuesay night / early Wednesday, they aired the top songs of 1986 starting at #50. However, in the middle of the third hour, the show was cut off and a new AT40 80s flashback show started.
However, its nice to hear a station all Casey all the time!

Three questions I have, what is the point behind this channel? I mean, does it serve a purpose for Clearchannel or someone else other than us who like to listen to the shows?
Are they going to add more shows other than the Flashback ones from 7 or 8 years ago?
