There have been many AT40s uploaded to YouTube throughout the years, but most eventually get taken down presumably due to copyright issues, though some have escaped that. This happens even when the songs are cut out, just leaving Casey's (or Shadoe's, Ryan's, or whomever's) speaking parts in.
This week's optional extras:
A: October 16, 1982:
Hour #1: "Get Closer" - Linda Ronstadt (#47) Hour #2: "Shadows Of The Night" - Pat Benatar (#69; debuted) Hour #3: "Rock The Casbah" - The Clash (#64) Hour #4: "Maneater" - Daryl Hall & John Oates (#65; highest debut)
B: October 15, 1983:
Hour #1: "Major Tom (Vollig Losgelost)" - Peter Schilling (German remix; #58) Hour #2: "Ain't Nobody" - Rufus & Chaka Khan (#66) Hour #3: "Crumblin' Down" - John Cougar Mellencamp (#42; debuted) Hour #4: "Mirror Man" - Human League (#56)

Odd pairing, but it's happened before. 1982 is still a year that requires a "B", and any year from 1983-1987 (this time of year) would be eligible for "B". The other four years in that group have been recently featured (except for 1985, which is on deck).

Similar to having a '75 'A' and a '76 'B', which I seem to recall happening once or twice since Premiere began providing 'B' shows for 1970-75 'A' shows within the past couple of years. Could also have a 4-hr late '78 'A' with a late '77 'B', although I don't recall that yet occurring.

Of course, for most of November and December Christmas shows are the only alternatives. Of the four hour 1979 A's, only nine of them in eleven years have had B's from after 1973 (holiday B's excepted). Four of those were from 1974, two each from 1975 and 76, one from 1977, and none from 1978.

I agree it would have been better off making 10/15/1983 a standalone show but I think those from Oregon to Texas (plus Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, and a few others) their station affiliates should air the B show since at least some parts of the states are on the direct path. Do you mean the direct path of the solar eclipse?

For those who don't want to wait until tomorrow to hear 10/16/1982, the Classic AT40 channel is airing it right now.

Do you mean the direct path of the solar eclipse? Yeah, the direct path of the annular solar eclipse is what I meant. About 75% where I am--Tucson. Peaking in just a few minutes. Sun is behind clouds but it does look a little darker than normal for 9AM outside.
