And here are the "American Top 40--the 90s" extras: July 3, 1999: Hour #1: "The Way" - Fastball Hour #2: "Vision Of Love" - Mariah Carey Hour #3: "Fields Of Gold" - Sting Hour #4: "Last Kiss" - Pearl Jam For 1999, is "Last Kiss" pulled from a different show with an ATH story? (My bet would otherwise be that it's not and that instead, Larry Morgan would voice that extra.) What this week IS, though, is the week where R&R ditched their previous airplay-monitoring system and converted to using Mediabase - in the process, the chart also changed recurrent rules from 25/26 to 20/20. "Last Kiss", incidentally, made the highest debut on that week's chart at #43. No, just like over Memorial Day Weekend, Larry Morgan provided new intros for some of the songs, including "Last Kiss" this time around. Meanwhile, Rick Dees also played a 4th of July countdown from 1999 this weekend. But since that chart was 2 weeks behind R&R's published chart, it was the last non-Mediabase monitored chart.

Prediction for next show:
7/12/86
It should definitely be this one considering it's been almost 3 months since the last 1986 standalone.

They play the "B" shows on Saturdays, so 1987 was heard yesterday and 1982 will be on today. Darn! So are any other stations playing 1987? At this point, I'd even take the three-hour version of the show. EDIT: Never mind - just found that WLKN is playing the show!
Too late now but KOSF played 1987. 99% of the time they play the later years of two 80s shows so if you want to listen to the later 80s KOSF is a good bet. They are on Sundays at 11 AM and PM ET. They play some but not all the extras.

Prediction for next show: 7/12/86 It should definitely be this one considering it's been almost 3 months since the last 1986 standalone. That one would appear to be coming up, as WFMX is playing it as part of their special programming for the Fourth. It might be the "B" show to next week's July 12, 1980 show (since it's the same date). Then again, since it's been since mid-April since the last time they've done that year as a standalone, we might hear that one the week of July 16.

Heard on the radio on Saturday that KKLZ in Las Vegas is moving AT 40 80's to Sunday mornings. It's been a Saturday institution for a long time. Now I have to find a new late morning Saturday Casey to listen to.

I am listening to Top 40 Disappearing Acts, which appears to be from 1973.
Q: When did Casey stop using the 'cat squeal' intro he is using?
(Seems to be the original from 1970.)
