I wouldn't rule 11/01/1980 out yet. It could still air the weekend of November 6. Maybe this weekend and next may have 1980-1981 A shows to go with KOLA's entries?

Optional extras for October 20, 1984:
Hour #1: "I Wanna Rock" - Twisted Sister (#80; debuted) Hour #2: "Valotte" - Julian Lennon (#64; debuted) Hour #3: "All I Need" - Jack Wagner (#88; debuted) Hour #4: "Walking On A Thin Line" - Huey Lewis & The News (#53; highest debut)
And it is a standalone.

11/1/1980 is in rotation on the classic AT40 iHeart channel, for those that want to listen to it.
Very possible 11/2/1985 could be a "B" to 10/31/1981. It's no secret 1981 is due. Later in November, look to see if 11/13/1982 and 11/19/1983 air, two shows not played since 2009. As mentioned earlier, Premiere has gone very light on 1982 and 1983 in November, especially of late.

I'm thinking the same thing. Part 1 the week of January 1st and part 2 the week of January 8th would be the best thing to happen. Last time Christmas fell on a Saturday--which was in 2010--Part 1 of the year end special was aired on Christmas weekend and Part 2 was aired on New Year's weekend. The Top 100 of 1985 was the special that year, and that's how stations played it. On Sunday 12/26, most (if not all) subscribing stations that flipped to Xmas music had resumed normal programming and played Part 1 of the '85 Top 100 as scheduled. On Saturday 12/25 however, finding a station airing the show was a challenge. Not saying that's how they will do it this year -- in fact I've always opined that Premiere should wait until the first two weekends in January to play the year-end special since scheduling early January weekly countdowns is dicey due to the number of guest-hosted shows during those weeks. But if Premiere schedules the same as they did in 2010, Part 1 (#100-51) will be on Christmas weekend. Back in 2010, WRVF carried AT40, and I believe they went with an all-holiday format in December as well. What they did was to start airing the year-end show on New Year's weekend and were behind a week for awhile and then skipped one of the two 1980 shows that were played during the first two months of 2011 so they were back on track.

Weekend of 10/28... 11/2/85! www.charismusicgroup.com/Cue%20Sheets/11-02-85.pdfLast played 2014 w/extras: Hour #1: "Home Sweet Home" by Motley Crue Hour #2: "Party All The Time" by Eddie Murphy Hour #3: "Burning Heart" By Survivor Hour #4: "Say You Say Me" by Lionel Richie There goes hope for 11/1/1980 this 2021 year! Could 11/8/1980 be possible for the first weekend in November? If 1981 continues the dry spell, it should be the year end countdown rather than 1987. I would say that 11/8/80 should have a good chance of being the pick for the weekend of November 6th. The one November 1981 show that has any real chance of being aired as an 'A' is 11/14/81, but you wonder what that would mean for the 11/13/82 and 11/19/83 shows. Either one of those two doesn't get a spin this year or they go with 11/13/82 the weekend of November 6th, followed by 11/14/81 and 11/19/83.

or maybe something went wrong and Premiere doesn't have a copy that meets current playable standards. With everything having been played by now that is going to be, this one would be one heck of a screw-up on Premiere's part to ever happen again. I was thinking the same thing, I'm guessing that mkarns was more referring to 2013 when a three of four of the shows on the advance schedule were shifted a week due to an issue with a show's production or remastery. But yeah, that shouldn't be an issue now (not unless they start playing guest hosted shows...but I'll keep those worms in the can ).

But KOLA has usually gone with the A fron whenever lately; I think only once this year did they opt for a B, and that was the alternative to a show from May 1980, not fall 1981.
