Prediction for next show:
4/28/84
It is time for a 1984 show to air again and even though any of the May 1984 shows could conceivably get a spin (other than 5/26/84) I have already penciled in 1980, 1982, 1983, 1986 and 1987 shows for next month.

I'm betting it will be 4/28. 1984 is definitely overdue - don't know why they have given it such a long break, even if they did overdo it around the New Year - 1984 is definitely one of the defining years of the 80s.

Prediction for next week's show:
1st Guess - 4/28/84 2nd Guess - 4/25/87
It should be one of these two, and as mentioned above, 1984 is due. We've only heard one 1987 'A' show since the start of the year as well--that wouldn't be a big surprise either.

Looks like the chances of getting 5/1/1982 for the first time in 13 years has gotten bigger (larger?).
ETA: 4/24/1982 hasn't aired as an "A" show in 9 years, so there's a small chance that it could be the "A" show to 4/28/1984's "B".

If not then 1984 will have a near 5 month gap between shows featured as a standalone presentation. Seems very unlikely.

KOLA has lately aired the A show almost all the time, and when they didn't it was usually from 1980 or 1981, not 1982. And by the end of next week it will have been over three months since the last 1984 standalone.
5/1/82 would fit well the first weekend of May, as it will have been eight weeks since the last 1982 presentation by then. We should also later get May 1980 and 1987 shows; of those two months only 5/3/80 has been aired too recently for replay this year.

My predictions for May are as follows: May 1, 2021 - May 1, 1982 May 8, 2021 - See below May 15, 2021 - May 17, 1980 May 22, 2021 - May 23, 1987 May 29, 2021 - May 28, 1983 The weekend of May 8, 2021 throws a monkey wrench into the works (for the remaining predictions, that is). The only show that would fit would be 5/10/1986, which was played in 2017. Now, that is indeed possible, but they seem to be avoiding playing shows that have already gone within the past five years whenever they can. Maybe this would be an exception, especially since two of the shows in my predictions haven't been played in over a decade and another one hasn't been done in eight years (in the case of the 1980 show).

Hervard your list is spot on what I have penciled in for the month of May, and the show I have for May 8th is 5/10/86. Given that we will have only gotten one 1986 show going into the month of May, we should certainly expect to hear an '86 during May. 5/3/86 is also possible for the weekend of May 8th, as would be a 5/17/86 airing on May 15th with a 5/10/80 airing on the 8th. 5/31/86 was played last year, and 5/24/86 was played as an 'A' in 2018 and an 'B' in 2019 -- both of those should be out of contention.

^^Since the April 9, 1988 countdown we got just last weekend was also played as the main show in 2017, that shouldn't disqualify May 10, 1986, though Premiere might well choose something that might better fit datewise on the preceding or following weekend but was last heard longer ago.
