^I'm thinking 5/10/80 and 5/17/86. Both last aired in 2015.

^^Since the April 9, 1988 countdown we got just last weekend was also played as the main show in 2017, that shouldn't disqualify May 10, 1986, though Premiere might well choose something that might better fit datewise on the preceding or following weekend but was last heard longer ago. They've already gone a full week off-date twice this year - I think they're more willing to play loose with the dates when it seems to suit them.

Only reason I would argue the other way (5/10/86 and 5/17/80) is that if they went with 5/10/80, you'd have three 1980 airings with only one 1986 so far in 2021. Not that 5/10/80 couldn't happen first, but I'm thinking the odds would favor '86 before '80.

KABQ is still running as of 7:00 PM ET tonight so I'm guessing we'll be getting another show from them this weekend.

I'm guessing we're not really going to know when they end up flipping after all, it's just going to suddenly happen one day.

^ Originally it was supposed to be first week of April. Has first week of May been specifically mentioned since?

What's this thing about "flipping" referring to? Are classic AT40 shows getting axed? If not, what is going on?
I am thinking the so-called "flipping" may be delayed until May due to COVID-19 lockdown measures.
EDIT: The "flipping" probably had to do with radio station KABQ. I think the flip was initially scheduled for the beginning of April, but it may have been delayed due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Yes -- talking about the pending "flip" of KABQ's format due to transfer of ownership. I guess it was supposed to be the first weekend in April -- couldn't remember what all was said in earlier posts. I might have made up the May thing thinking first week in May instead of April.

Hello all-
As of today at 5pm EST, KABQ-FM Albuquerque is now legally the property of new owners. Those owners have decided to take the station "dark" for now, while preparing their new format. While I would love nothing more than to move the 80's format to one of our other frequency's here in Albuquerque, there are no plans for that at this time. Unfortunately last weekend was the final airing of AT40-80's for the station.

Nothing to do with Covid, don't understand how that would even come up. KABQ was recently sold to new owners, a religious organization. As mentioned above, the new owners have temporarily taken the station off-air. To use another bit of radio 'jargon', KABQ has 'gone dark'.
