If I were picking the shows I'd ideally have coupled 1982 (if it needs a B) with something later than 1984, especially as it comes just three weeks after we heard 1984 by itself. But we got 1986 last week and 1988 this week, so I'm guessing that 1985 and 1987 are soon to come; either year can appear in either of the last two weekends of April. I would guess 4/18/87, last aired in 2012 to be a very likely candidate.

I wouldn't mind 4/18/1987, though I have a feeling 1985 is more likely, as the 4/20 show hasn't aired in quite awhile, while the 4/27 show was played just three years ago. 4/25/87 was last played four years ago and, hence, seems more probable (though early in the series, they did that one three years in a row).

There ya go, 80s peeps...4/14/1984 is airing this year. Don't miss that story of "Footloose" leading into the #1 song. Better yet, don't miss the whole show! Optional extras from the 2010 airing were: Hour #1: "Runaway" - Bon Jovi Hour #2: "Sister Christian" - Night Ranger Hour #3: "It's My Life" - Talk Talk Hour #4: "Self-Control" - Laura Branigan 4/10/1982 is a longtime show in rotation on the classic AT40 channel on iHeartRadio. Optional extras from the 2014 airing: Hour #1: "Empty Garden (Hey Hey Johnny)" - Elton John Hour #2: "Man On Your Mind" - Little River Band Hour #3: "When It's Over" - Loverboy Hour #4: "Tainted Love" - Soft Cell Both shows have only aired in the Premiere series once before. The 4/14/1984 show could replace "Runaway" or "It's My Life" with one of these Kenny Rogers 1984 songs to honor the late Kenny Rogers for an OPTIONAL EXTRA: "This Woman" or "What About Me". And does Kenny Rogers have a song on the 4/10/1982 AT40 chart or not?

Another show that hasn't seen the light of day since 2010 is 5/23/87 -- I'd be all in favor of holding off on '87 for that show. A big thumbs up to Premiere for getting 4/14/84 in the rotation this year (as well as 3/9/85) even if only as a 'B' offering.

If they do a Kenny Rogers tribute for 4/10/82, my vote would be to replace "Empty Garden" -- I'm a fan of most of EJ's music, but that one wasn't one of my favorites of his. The other 3 cuts are fantastic.

I wonder how much Columbia, or Jon Landau, or whoever, paid Casey for this week's lengthy, *glowing* ad for Springsteen's live performances.

How does anybody live in Black River Falls? Jennifer Wojcicki just said it was 39. It's not December, it's not January, it's April 3rd! Get this- It was 27 degrees last night in Omaha,Ne with freezing drizzle. I was chipping ice from my windshield off of my car when I left work last night. Now I have two reasons to stay at home today. It supposed to be 80 degrees here on Tuesday. Weather here can turn on a dime. There is a potential to see ice, snow, rain, heat and tornadoes all in the same month.

Same reason people live in areas more prone to earthquakes, fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, and extreme heat. It's 28 where I'm at, but this colder air isn't gonna last long.

Listening to 4/2/88 on WWIS and in the intro to #13 (Hysteria by Def Leppard)Casey said he was retelling the story of how drummer Rick Allen lost his arm in a car crash. Does anyone know when Casey previously told that story?

Super-low cost of living, far away from urban chaos and problems and crime, can be Conservative and religious and own guns etc. without being harassed and discriminated against, gorgeous summers, often-beautiful snow, the annoying insects are tiny mostly-harmless mosquitoes and spiders instead of fist-sized and venomous ones, hunting and fishing galore, fresh water, rivers and lakes everywhere, skiing, snowmobiling.... You just have to put up with the misery (to most) and palpably-detrimental lack of beneficial UV rays from eight long months of winter.

I tend to listen to 80s AT 40 on Sunny Radio and a few stations up in Canada and New York. Being a native Floridian who's back in Fort Lauderdale after some time in Atlanta, I find those winter / early spring forecasted temps to be unbearably cold.

Does anyone know when Casey previously told that story? It would likely have been in November or December 1987, when "Animal" was in the top 40. That was DL's only preceding hit following said crash which occurred at the end of 1984.
