Did anyone notice a um... mispronounciation of a new radio station in Norway just before hour 3 of the 87 show? Usually a vowel sound comes before the "F" bomb and not after! I wonder what the production meetings and outtakes were like on that one that week. A twist of irony perhaps? (ie) "Radio F***ed UH !" welcome aboard , now on with the countdown.

I knew from as far back as June that August 25, 1984 would air this summer. To me, that is perhaps the latest 1984 show I would enjoy. Plus, if I am not mistaken, next weekend's airing will mean that all of the Casey-hosted shows from the summer of 1984 will have been exhausted, and from that point forward, all 1984 shows in the months of June, July and August will be guaranteed repeats.
As for my predictions:
"Lucky Star" by Madonna "I Just Called To Say I Love You" by Stevie Wonder "Flesh For Fantasy" by Billy Idol "Caribbean Queen" by Billy Ocean
It looks like, except for August 15 (this weekend as I post this), all of my other predictions for July and August so far, were right on the money. However, 1987 airing this weekend as option "A" surprised me greatly. Maybe Premiere is making up for the lack of 1987 shows during the first half of this year that they decided to step up the 1987 shows for the latter half of this year. Of course, whatever show from 1981 airs next time will only be the third such show this year, and it will be at least closer to September. Makes me wonder if there will be aggtessive airings of 1981 in the final months of this year?
1982 is also woefully underplayed this year, and for that I think there's a good chance we'll probably be getting the full top 100 of 1982 after Christmas.

WUEZ & WQKK did not play 1987, but did not play 1982 either. Are you permitted to post what these two stations played? Not that the point isn't already moot... I have recorded WUEZ's broadcast on occasion and was just curious what I may have missed...

Can't wait for 1987!! So many great songs on that chart that week. La Bamba,Who's That Girl etc....Frankly I just want to hear Casey say "Sex" (as in "I Want Your Sex" of course ?). Definitely a great show! He did not say "sex" in this show however..lol. I was interested in that Grateful Dead debut and it was presented nicely. I don't know why, perhaps it was the station's stream, but I noticed a huge disparity at the end of Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" and the part when Casey talked over the end of song. The two were definitely not the same. Did anyone one else notice? Yeah, he only says "here's George Michael". Kind of disappointing. Which station are you listening to, because I didn't notice that. Hard to believe The Grateful Dead only had one Top 40 hit.

"KHND messed up and replayed the show they replayed last week." I believe WQKK did the same. Could be developing a Lima issue. Think Club Nouveau, WMLX and the number 7.

Hard to believe The Grateful Dead only had one Top 40 hit. I agree. By definition, they were one-hit wonders, even if 20+ years late. I also find it hard to believe that it has been 20 years already since Jerry Garcia, the lead singer, had passed away.

Loved Grateful Dead. Didn't realize they had only one Top 40 hit. I mostly bought their albums and can right now recall my favorite songs Uncle John's Band, Truckin', New Speedway Boogie and The Music Never Stopped as if they were Top 40 singles. I did buy the Touch Of Grey single, one of the last vinyl singles I bought actually. Pretty flashy as I recall on colored vinyl. They were pretty hard to find by the time that song came out.

08/06/83 & 08/02/80 CHNL had a CFL game. So SWR was the only station to carry 1982 today that I know of.
