My guess would be 84 for next weekend, with 1981 for the week after. 8/29/81 hasn't yet aired, and actually 8/31/85 (repeated last year) immediately comes to mind as a "B" show to pair with that. This, in turn, can set up 9/6/86 for Labor Day weekend. (Though I do wonder about the prospects of 9/4/82 going instead - that's aired before, but it was in 2008.) Maybe 9/4/82 could be selected for a "B" show? (Or do they only do shows aired within the past five or so years as "B" shows?) We just recently heard 1983, but I'm wondering if they'll do the show for 9/24/83 in a little over a month? If they do, that will exhaust all of the September shows.

Yeah, the first week in September will be interesting. I think they could do an '86-'82 combo with 1982 as the 'B' show. I'm curious as to when the next 1982 'A' show will happen. I am thinking 9/18/82 has to be a strong possibility, if 9/4/82 isn't played over Labor Day weekend. I do think 9/24/83 is real good possibility for one of the last two weeks in September--so far in 2015, Premiere has aired 1983 at a pace of about once every 6-7 weeks. That would be about right for the next '83 show.

Uh...because 9/4/82 hasn't aired since 2008, it'd be voiced by Ed McMann if they left it alone and just aired it as a straight repeat. I'd judge the odds of either that happening, or of a "new" Larry Morgan airing (which this would ultimately be), being played as a "B" show, as somewhere in the realm of astronomical. And forget about an 86-82 pair for that weekend, not unless Premiere decides to pull a real crazy - they'd have to go with either 9/13/86 or 9/18/82 as a "B" show, since 9/11 was hosted by Marc Elliott.

Don't you mean "the next weekend"? I wouldn't be surprised if they continue to skimp with the 1982 shows (as "A" shows) for the rest of the year, since they've been using 1982 shows as the "B" show many times this year, and the latter half of 1982 has been exhausted - plus, as I've pointed out several times, I think we're going to get 1982 as the year-ender. Usually, they tend to be stingy with shows from a certain year when they plan to play the Top 100 of that same year around the holiday period. Also, the full YE 1982 show has yet to be aired (the only other year whose YE show hasn't been run in full is 1986 - perhaps they'll do that one next year if they don't this year. Just speculation and nothing more.

Abigail radio is sounding o.k. this afternoon, however the first extra they played after the first hour was Lean on Me just after it was used as the first hour ending LDD. So it was two for the price of one.

Don't you mean "the next weekend"? No. I'm referring to the first weekend in September, as matt did above: Yeah, the first week in September will be interesting. I think they could do an '86-'82 combo with 1982 as the 'B' show. Since neither 9/4/82 nor 9/6/86 has yet aired since 2009 (the 86 show not at all), this severely limits the options available for doing an 86-82 pair for Labor Day weekend this year, to the point where I don't think that it's likely that we'll get such a pair. FWIW, every other year would be available as a "B" show (probably except 1980 due to 9/6/80 also being guest-hosted), as they've all aired since 2010 at least. So...it really should be either 82 or 86 as the "A" show for that weekend, methinks.

Disregard my post in the 70s thread not knowing what the 80s show will be; immediately after posting that, I received a message for that info. For the first time in...quite a while, there's only one 70s and 80s show on tap. You can probably guess what that means here...it is indeed 8/25/1984: www.charismusicgroup.com/Cue%20Sheets/08-25-84.pdfYou'll still have to guess the extras blind (without clues), though.

Mike... I actually prefer not to have clues for the optional extras, unless it's an early 70s show with a bunch of extras already in the show... just knowing how many extras stay or how many go is fine. Everyone else may disagree with me but hey...
Optional extra predictions for the 8/25/84 show: * "Lucky Star" by Madonna * "I Just Called To Say I Love You" by Stevie Wonder * "Some Guys Have All The Luck" by Rod Stewart * "Caribbean Queen" by Billy Ocean

Definitely a great show! He did not say "sex" in this show however..lol. I was interested in that Grateful Dead debut and it was presented nicely. I don't know why, perhaps it was the station's stream, but I noticed a huge disparity at the end of Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" and the part when Casey talked over the end of song. The two were definitely not the same. Did anyone one else notice?
