I'm listening to the 4/18/81 episode on KOOL 93.9 out of Vermont, and the show is slightly sped up... slightly. I tend to hear it in the jingles more than the songs, but "Hello Again" by Neil Diamond was the one song where I noticed the song seemed like it was in a different key. Given how many Adult Contemporary-leaning songs are on this countdown... this is a show which needs to be sped up .

Two songs with 9 To 5 in the title. I'm sure that was fun for DJ's.

As the week progresses, if anyone would happen to learn what stations may be airing the 'B' (1985) show next weekend, may I impose on you to post an update if and/or as possible?
Thanks so much!!
KOLA will air 1985 Saturday morning. WMGN will air 1985 Sunday. The KCLH website claims they're playing 1985 at 9pm EDT tonight. But the DJ who signed off just before the start of the 1975 show at 6pm EDT told folks to stay tuned for the 1981 show. He mentioned several artists from the countdown such as Juice Newton, so he wasn't simply misspeaking. Since KCLH has always played the 'A' shows (as far as I can recall), I suspect it will be 1981.

I was listening to the 4-18-81 show and heard Casey mention there were 7 sets of twins who've had hits, and 2 sets are in this countdown, then I got called away and missed whatever Casey said. Did anyone happen to hear that story about twins in the countdown?

Did anyone happen to hear that story about twins in the countdown? The twins in the countdown were Wallace and Walter Scott of the Whispers, and Chuck and John Panozzo of Styx. The other sets were: Robin and Maurice Gibb of the Bee Gees; the Kalin Twins; the Cate Brothers; two of the Shangri-Las; and two of the Arbors.

Surprised and shocked that nobody noticed that Rob Durkee was the one who wrote in to correct Casey Kasem about studio/live recordings of a song hitting The Top 40 leading into "What Kind a Fool" by Streisand & Gibb on American Top 40 from March 18th, 1981, this weekend, ironically because Barbra Streisand's "Where You Lead/Sweet Inspiration" wasn't mentioned some weeks before along with 3 other songs! Go to the bottom of page 79 of the "What show are you listening to right now?" thread. You 'liked' it, so you must've read it!

Two songs with 9 To 5 in the title. I'm sure that was fun for DJ's. As the story goes (I think). The international title of the Sheena Easton song was Nine to Five. It got changed to Morning Train (Nine To Five) to remove confusion with the Dolly Parton song.

He listed lots of groups with twins like the Bee Gees, etc and then led to Styx at #24 when he mentioned the Panozzo twins. He also mentioned Daryl Hall & John Oates jk about Hall & Oates!

You'd think the songwriters would give it a different title to avoid confusion with the Dolly Parton song, maybe call it "My Baby Takes The Morning Train" but I guess that's too long or just Morning Train without the 9 to 5. I've given this too much thought lol.

Star 107.9 playing the 04/26/86 show F*** you beat me again spock lol What, then, is the point of offering 80s "B" shows when some stations just randomly play whatever? (Maybe Star 107.9 just made a mistake, but several others have played seemingly random shows.) Especially when, as with this week, the "B" show is the same year as one that was just played (1985 was the "A" just two weeks ago) or comes from a year close to the "A"?
