And Foreigner of course didn't get there easily, as they had one song infamously spend 10 weeks at #2 without hitting the top, before hitting #1 five years after Casey answered the aforementioned letter.

On the 1-16-76 show, Casey noted that Sweet's "Fox On The Run" moved from 11-10-9-8-7-6-5. He stated that in four weeks it should arrive at #1. The song never made it past #5.

On this week's 1988 Commentary Casey said Harrison was hot on the heels of McCartney for appearing on the most #1s. Neither ex-Beat would get there again and George would only reach the Fab top 40 once more.

In the 1983 AT40 year end countdown, Casey mentioned leading into the #98 song of 1983 "It's Raining Again" by Supertramp that Rodger Hudson left the group that 1983 year to do a solo career, but Rodger's 1984 song "Had a Dream (Sleeping With the Enemy)" missed hitting AT40 territory (But it made the top 40 reaches of R&R). Supertramp post Rodger however had only 1 more top 40 entry in 1985 with "Cannonball". I think you mean Roger Hodgson.

In a Supersized jinx, Casey said Rockin' Rod had just spent more time at #1 than anyone in eight years but that record would get lit Up later in 1977! I had just noted that in my mind a few minutes ago upon hearing Casey say it on KDRI 'The Drive's' broadcast. Which is coming in over my local FM airwaves right now.
