Really?! They're airing the doc just four days before it goes out on DVD?
(and after a very short selective cinematic run)

PBS regularily airs things either on or about to be released on DVD. Its usually during pledge drives though if they're airing something on those no talent bums, I'd actually like them to give ME money...

Haha! Like them or not, their cultural impact and importance is undeniable. And since I'm not picturing any of the major networks airing a doc on a band whose mass culture relevance died some 15/16 years ago (unless Eddie Vedder dies or something like that), it's only fair that PBS does it, methinks.

True, Despite knowing about the lack of talent they have, They did have a strong college following and were one of the early grunge bands out of Seattle.
I just hate hearing that their lyrics are great or that Eddie is a great guitarist. I know a guy who insists that Eddie is the greatest at both singing/lyrics and guitar... Try John Lennon for lyrics, Freddie Mercury & early Elton John for singing and Brian May for guitar!

Well that list (when you add Pearl Jam) reminds me of the old song: Which Of These Things Do Not Belong!

I, for one, think it's good that that series pays attention to a (relatively) younger act. Since they're on it, they could start airing docs on Nirvana, R.E.M., Michael Jackson, Prince, Jam & Lewis and Teddy Riley, among others.

Or how about a certain legendary radio host who's name would be listed just above Kaye, Danny!

Heh! That wouldn't be out of place, either. That series airs docs on all kinds of artists/entertainers, so sure, why not? Of course Alan Freeman, Wolfman Jack, Jim Ladd and the Electrifying Mojo would have to be there too.
