Tony Bennett had the #1 single 60 years ago this week with "Because of You". I don't know if that's a record span of chart toppers for an artist, but if not it must be very close and hard to replicate, especially for a presently active artist whose current #1 is with new material rather than a reissue or compilation. An extraordinary achievement.

Tony also makes history by becoming the oldest living person to appear the Hot 100 as his duet with the late Amy Winehouse, "Body and Soul" enters at No. 87. This beats out the late George Burns.
It's also said to be his first chart record in over 43 years. (since late 1967, which in itself is a record) That's unfortunate because I felt he should have made the Hot 100 when he released "Stepping out With My Baby," back in 1993.
