Quincy also produced the music for "Roots" and wrote the theme for "Sanford and Son," officially known as "The Streetbeater." It was released as a single in 1973 but did not chart. And there was also Quincy's "Chump Change" which was the New Bill Cosby Show theme in 1972 and the theme to the game show "Now You See It" aired on CBS in 2 incarnations in 1974-1975 (hosted by Jack Narz) and in 1989 (hosted by Chuck Henry). He also did "Hikky Burr", the theme from the first Bill Cosby Show (1969).

KLFM is repeating last week's 1972 broadcast. KLFM is playing '79 now. Territory FM went with AT32 earlier tonight. So KLFM mixed up and played the first hour of 11/4/1972 instead of first optional hour of 11/10/1979?

Last week's show featured "All the Young Dudes" by Mott the Hoople, produced by David Bowie--whom Casey mentioned there, several months before he hit the top 40 as an artist.
That was Mott's only top 40 hit, but they got mentioned on back to back Premiere shows as on 11/10/79 Casey noted that MTH's Ian Hunter wrote Barry Manilow's hit "Ships".
Interesting story about how members of the Commodores got Lionel Richie and William King back into the group after they briefly quit by falsely telling them that the other had returned. Casey's "there's no more talk of quitting" comment of course would later change, but Lionel surely must be grateful for that con which saved him from having to work in a bomb factory indefinitely. King, meanwhile, still leads the group.

WLVI Kankakee is now airing AT40: The 70's November 10, 1979 this Saturday afternoon starting with hour #2 with #32 by Elton John with the disco-ish "Victim of Love".
I wonder if Elton John ever made Billboard's disco chart with "Victim of Love". I bet Elton didn't make the Billboard Disco/Dance charts in the 1970's and 1980's and maybe the 1990's. And Elton John's 1976 duet with Kiki Dee called "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" from 1976 isn't disco style.
