WILV skipped the second & third segment of the 10/16/70 show. In other words, they jumped seven notches from 37 to 30! Not all bad though, got to hear my favorite song on the survey sooner (Teegarden & Van Winkle's "God, Love And Rock & Roll"). Guessing they'll go back? When I just came in/tuned in: WVLI is playing the first OPTIONAL EXTRA of "I Think I Love You" by the Partridge Family. And now WVLI is startomg hour 2 of 10/17/1970. ...or not.

10/15/1977 has a textbook trainwreck segue: "Send In the Clowns" into "Cat Scratch Fever."
Man, I loved Top 40 radio....

For the next weekend, 1974 looks like a good option. 10/19/74 last aired as an A show in 2008, a B show in 2019. Given that, I'll go with 10/20/79 over 10/20/73 for next weekend. 1979 show last aired in 2021. 10/20/73 last aired in 2020. For the B show, I'll go with 10/19/74. I would swap the A and B shows to be honest - I'd say that 10/19/74 gets the A show treatment if it's picked, while 10/20/79 gets the B show treatment this time around. Or it's possible that 10/20/73 and 10/20/79 could be paired together like it happened in 2020, only this time 10/20/73 gets the A show status, while 10/20/79 gets the B. And maybe there might be a curveball. We'll see...

Talk about a trainwreck segue that's not unlike the September 1985 time when the Pointer Sisters' "Dare Me" segued into the Snuggles LDD. Not exactly, as we can blame Billboard for that, with the songs ranked back to back at 40 and 39, and that wasn’t a place where at the time they could usually put in an extra or commercial break. By contrast the AT40 staff had discretion about where to put LDD’s.

So 10/20/73 is the A and 10/20/79 the B? A Facebook post just about confirms this.
