Does anybody know if any artist have ever had songs at No. 40 and at No. 1 on American Top 40 in the same week?

Yes this week is the anniversary of that happening twice. Donny Osmond did it in 1971 although one of them is the Osmonds. And Michael Jackson did it in 1987.

You guys are right, Andy Gibb, Michael Jackson and Donny Osmond are the only artist to have a song at No. 40 and at No. 1 on American Top 40 in the same week
Donny Osmond was at No. 40 with the song, "Yo-Yo" with the Osmonds and was at No. 1 with "Go Away Little Girl" during the week of September 18, 1971.
Andy Gibb was at No. 40 with "An Everlasting Love" during the week of July 22, 1978 and on that same week, his song, "Shadow Dancing" was at No. 1.
Michael Jackson had songs at No. 40 and at No. 1 during the week of September 19, 1987. His song "Bad" was at No. 40 and it actually debuted on Billboard's Hot 100 at No. 40 that week and he was at No. 1 with "I Just Can't Stop Loving You".

Sorry, but Donny Osmond, Andy Gibb, and Michael Jackson are NOT the only acts who have had both the #40 and #1 songs on AT40.
On the January 23, 1993 show Whitney Houston debuted at #40 with "I'm Every Woman" while "I'll Always Love You" was at #1.
