Metaphorically speaking, I believe most interpreted Melanie's lyrics as a 'key' to one's heart. Or one's mind. Stupid, naive me, I always understood it as a song about two friends--each had something the other lacked, but together they could have fun roller skating. Two girls sang it as a duet at my 2nd grade talent show and nobody raised any eyebrows. Melanie indicated in interviews it was intended to be a sweet love song that would lighten the mood at her live concerts, where she sang about more weighty subjects.

1975 is due. Every year has been featured since the last time 1975 was the "A" show. 11/29/75 last aired in 2012 & 12/6/75 last aired in 2016.
Given that, I'll go with 12/4/76. The only year that has been featured less in 2023 than 1976 as the "A" show is 1970. 12/4/76 was last aired by Premiere in 2013.

Any special shows for the Thanksgiving weekend planned? I haven't heard of any extra shows airing so was wondering. WQMV is currently airing American Top 10 Christmas. KLTF also aired the show today.

If 12/4/76 is featured next week,"I Wish" by Stevie Wonder was the highest debuting song on the Billboard "Hot 100" coming in at # 40.

This weekend's AT40 Christmas B show is the AT20 Christmas Countdown top 30 holiday hits. This Saturday afternoon via WVLI Kankakee I can catch this weekend's AT40: The 70's 11/27/1971 show.

Hmm... Thank You for Being a Friend, Thank U Next, I Thank You, Thank You for the Music,... Thank you, thank you! Thank God for you the wind beneath my wings... Don't forget "...thank you India, thank you Providence...". While one is walking the street 'nekkid as a jaybird', of course.

On this week's presentation from 11/27/71,Casey mentioned that "Wonderful Wonderful" by Johnny Mathis spent a total of 39 weeks on Billboard's pop chart in 1957-That record was broken in 1982 when "Tainted Love" by Soft Cell spent 43 weeks on the Billboard "Hot 100".

And it’s an 'empty platter' Thanksgiving playlist if Arlo Guthrie’s “Alice’s Restaurant” is not included.
