The recently-broadcast August 15, 1970 sounded awesome! That mono-to-stereo was amazing. I listened specifically for the awesomely-engineered "The Sly, Slick And The Wicked" and I wasn't disappointed! All the other songs sounded great, too. Heard guitar and drum riffs in some songs that stood out more and it was great to hear! Not to mention Casey's early delivery style. Thoroughly entertaining to hear a 50 year-old broadcast on terrestrial radio. Looking forward to more such shows! Agreed! Normally I wouldn’t get too excited about a show that originally aired before I was born, but Ken’s stereo version makes it all worth listening to. Aw, shucks.

Any confirmed stations airing 1979 this weekend? Probably WPAC.

The other three "AT40 Specials" from 8/15/70 were "You Don't Have To Be A Baby To Cry","Do You Want To Know A Secret" & "Don't Just Stand There"-Do they stay in the broadcast?

I have the Aug.22 show, it was played 2016 in mono2stereo. Do you mean Aug.29? That one is missing by my records. Only played once 2014. I don't have Oct.3, missed it from 2014, was not sure if it was converted or not. I don't have Dec. 12 - only played once in 2013 - quite sure that was mono. I agree on Sep 19, Oct 24, Nov. 14, Nov. 28 not converted. I thought the Top 80 of 1970 was played mono2stereo, but have no record of when that happened. I don't have those. Perhaps Ken ran a special only on his station. Can anybody verify that? You're right about Aug 22. It was played in 2016 in stereo. For some reasons I missed it. Aug 29, Oct 3, Dec 12 were all in stereo when they were aired in 2013/2014. So.....it looks like there are only 4 shows from 1970 that have not be converted to mono2stereo by Ken. Sept. 19, Oct. 24, Nov. 14 and Nov. 28 These all should be 'A' shows. After that, 1970 might be demoted to 'B' shows only. There are zero music radio stations targeting old men like me. Hopefully we will get one of those November shows this year, but the spacing would seem to indicate it will take 2021 and 2022 at minimum, to complete conversion of all 1970 shows to stereo by Ken.

Note to those of us who like to listen to the 70s AT40 broadcast Thursday evenings on WSQL. I just checked the Brevard HS football schedule for this season and all of their regular season games are scheduled for Friday evening this year so we shouldn't lose any Thursday evening countdowns this season.

Any confirmed stations airing 1979 this weekend? KOKZ 8-12 noon central Sat. Expect WPNC & WPAC to also air 4-hr version. WVWP should air both shows, but airs the 3-hr '79 show. (Sat & Sun 2 pm central)

(Sat & Sun 2 pm central) Hoggy will be a great AT33 bet, Sunday 1pm EDT. WPNC runs the 4 hour shows, but starts ON TIME and runs one hour later, right? (unlike the others who start EARLY).

Correct. WPNC plays the 80's & 70's shows back-to-back on Saturdays. So, the 70's show always starts at 2 PM eastern. 4 hour shows run until 6 PM.

So next week we get Premiere's first ever broadcast of 8/19/72, which if I'm not mistaken is the last unplayed three hour Casey AT40. Coupled with it is 8/26/78, which counting this airing has been aired six times, possibly a record. Of course its historical significance makes it a popular option, though it could also have been a standalone the following week--something it hasn't been since 2011 (it's been played three times since as a B.)

Why couldn't 8/19/1972 be paired with 8/19/1978 (Featuring the top 14 songs the same as the previous week and an AT40 extra honoring 1 year since Elvis' death) as the B show rather than 8/26/1978? And here are my OPTIONAL EXTRA predictions for the new to Premiere 8/19/1972 AT40: The 70's episode: HOUR #1: "Black and White" - Three Dog Night HOUR #2: "Burning Love" - Elvis Presley HOUR #3: "If You Leave Me Tonight I'll Cry" - Jerry Wallace

For 8/19/72, I'll go with:
"You've Got A Friend" "Black & White" "I'll Be Around"

So now 1979 is the only year with completely unplayed shows left (as well as 1978, with a pair of shows that have yet to feature Hour 1).
