KLFM & WMGN are airing the March 3, 1973 show this weekend. KOKZ is going with the 4-hour March 3, 1979 show. WMGN has re-designed their website and I couldn't find that info -- do you have a link to where they're keeping it now? www.magic98.com/on-air-schedule/#schedule

Btw Ken...how many AT40 shows have you Supersized and how many specials have you originally created?? For specials the biggest one was the #1 hits in chronological order. I also created the top 80 hits of 1973 (vs the original top 40). And of course the Christmas countdowns where I put in the audio AT40 couldn't find when the show was produced. Does that count? I've toyed with the idea of doing the top 80 of '71 and a full top 100 of 1979, but have been too busy with other stuff. For Supersizing, I'm not sure. Maybe a dozen of those? There appears to be an appetite for those since my stations streaming numbers skyrocket when I announce one of those is being played. That would be great Mr. Martin Top 80 of 1971 and a Top 100 of 79, I was hoping for your version of The Top 100 of 1979 because your station didn't air The Top 50 a few years back. I remember you said you don't like airing half countdowns in two week spans. So hopefully in the near future we can hear two updated versions of the year end specials.

WTF? Despite what their website says, WMGN is giving us... August 21st 1976?? I can't remember them ever playing an out-of-sequence rerun before. And it's from the same year they played (in-sequence) last week! I was really looking forward to 1973. ... UPDATE: after a commercial break, we picked up the 3/3/73 chart at #35! ... UPDATE 2: after another break, we're back to Aug '76 again. Looks like Magic 98 hired a new weekend intern

How odd that BOTH "wrong" shows were from August of their respective years. I could understand if they just played the previous week's shows by accident, but they had to go out of their way to insert pieces of old August shows. Weird!

WMGN aired both 8/21/76 & 8/12/78 the same day in 2018. It would be interesting to see if WMGN incorporates 8/17/85 from 2018 with the February 28, 1987 show tomorrow.
2NUR, which would normally air the '73 show, went with 1987.

I accidentally missed first hr of 4 hour 1979, are there any more stations airing 4 hours 1979? I forgot.. A couple of good bets: WTOJ on Sunday morning at 8:00 Eastern Time. WTOJ almost always runs the "A" show, and when it's a four-hour show from late '78 or '79, they run the full four hours, starting an hour earlier than their normal 9:00 Eastern start time to accommodate the extra hour. WPNC at midnight Eastern Time on the Tuesday/Wednesday overnight. WPNC can be a bit unpredictable in terms of whether they run the "A" show or the "B" show, but they always run the same show in each of the two time slots they run '70s AT40 in, and when it's a four-hour show from late '78 or '79, they always run the full four hours (unlike WTOJ, they start at the normal time and run an hour longer). WPNC ran the 1979 show in the first '70s AT40 airing on Saturday, so it should be 1979 again for the second airing over the Tuesday/Wednesday overnight.

Didn't "On Bended Knee" by Boyz II Men also have three turns at #1 in late 1994/early 1995? Not in Radio & Records/CT40, where it had one run of six consecutive weeks on top, and I don’t think on the Hot 100. Maybe on the Billboard airplay chart used by Shadoe’s AT40 which of course ended right at that time? Yes, on the Top 40/Mainstream chart that AT40 used, "On Bended Knee" had three turns at #1.

Last year, WPAC aired the 11/11/78 3-hr version on Saturday & aired the 4-hr version on Sunday. Yesterday, WPAC aired the 3/3/79 3-hr version on Saturday & should start playing 1979 at 4 pm eastern. ice42.securenetsystems.net/WPAC

Maybe we should contact WMGN Magic 98 about the problem with this weekend's AT40 70's/80's broadcasts - Could this be the downfall of the radio station even with the revamped Magic 98 website or something?

Not understanding 'downfall of the radio station'--you really think that a goof up on a weekend syndicated program could possibly cause a station to lose it's license? Trust me, it can't and won't.
