And indeed, they did (tho I didn't stay tuned to see if they bounced back&forth they way they did on Saturday). Maybe we should contact WMGN Magic 98 about the problem with this weekend's AT40 70's/80's broadcasts - Could this be the downfall of the radio station even with the revamped Magic 98 website or something? UPDATE: Sent a message to WMGN via Facebook and got this: "We had some technical/computer issues this weekend. We’re working on it! Thanks for listening!"

Listening to KMXG Mix 96.1 at 10:15 PM and no AT40 The 70's. Did they drop the show?

We wouldn't mind or be surprised if WMGN Magic 98 played a Larry Morgan voiced AT40: The 70's/80's OPTIONAL EXTRAS instead of WMGN's own related to the AT40 70's/80's year extras if the computer system troubles continue next weekend.

3/4/72 last aired the weekend of March 3-4, 2012 -- these were the extras: "No One To Depend On" - Santana (#41) "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" - Roberta Flack (#77; debuted) "Betcha By Golly, Wow" - The Stylistics (#60) 3/8/75 last aired on March 11-12, 2017 as a 'B' show. Last time it was played as an 'A' show was the weekend of March 6-7, 2010 (the same weekend 3/9/85 last aired). The extras both times were: "Philadelphia Freedom" - Elton John (#53; highest debut) "Shining Star" - Earth, Wind & Fire (#51) "How Long" - Ace (#89; debuted) The optional extras remain the same for both shows.

Just realized I erred in this post regarding 3/8/75 -- the 2017 airing of that show was an 'A' show airing. There was no 'B' show that weekend.

WPNC at midnight Eastern Time on the Tuesday/Wednesday overnight. WPNC can be a bit unpredictable in terms of whether they run the "A" show or the "B" show, but they always run the same show in each of the two time slots they run '70s AT40 in, and when it's a four-hour show from late '78 or '79, they always run the full four hours (unlike WTOJ, they start at the normal time and run an hour longer). WPNC ran the 1979 show in the first '70s AT40 airing on Saturday, so it should be 1979 again for the second airing over the Tuesday/Wednesday overnight. Yes, WPNC repeated four-hour 1979 Tuesday/Wednesday.

I noticed that on the 3/3/79 show the album version of the debuting "Big Shot" was played and rather then have kenmartin substitute the single version Premiere used an awful edit of Billy calling Bianca Jagger what she was. Was the album version ever played again or was this a case of "new song and they didn't realize the word was there"?
Also from the 1979 show, based on the 2nd LDD apparently unlike Casey's comment on the 1987 show they didn't have more LDD letters then they could use because that was ridiculous! Great song, though, and I love Carpenters so glad to hear the song at least.

Prediction for next week's show:
1st Guess - 3/17/73 2nd Guess - 3/16/74
It's been a long time for both of these shows -- 2009 and 2012 to be exact. I'm hoping for 1974 the last weekend of March, but no surprise if it goes next weekend.

"don't come b*tchin to me" is not the same thing as actually calling someone a b*tch.

Definitely looking forward to next weekend's presentation from 3/16/74-One of the featured songs is "The Lord's Prayer" by Sister Janet Mead-I liked her rendition of it.
