Here is the formerly "surprise" countdown. The Top 50 Songs Parodied by Weird Al: www.megaupload.com/?d=00POKW1YCue Sheet: www.megaupload.com/?d=R30MS917Its figured based on the original songs but then we play the Weird Al versions. Lots of Bonus Tracks as well as stories! A few notes... -Polka Medleys were not counted, they're technically parodies, but with our method of figuring out chart positions, that would make the entire top 7 polka medleys and that is ridiculous. We do play one as a Bonus Track though. -Refused parodies were not counted, though we do play one as a bonus track. (Since they aren't on an official album, they weren't counted) Please leave thoughts, comments etc. and ENJOY!

Loved it... I'll be listening to this several times over the next month in preparation for his concert here in Clearwater on October 6!
(Oh, and Atlantic Records, hope you develop a sense of humor someday...)

lol, You sure your name shouldn't be INSTAgator?
I agree, Atlantic Records were so stupid to deny him permission, not that he needed it, he didn't want to cause James any trouble, not that Atlantic promotes his music all that well...
Lucky you, I don't think he visits Rochester ever if at all!

I just listened to it, and loved it, too. It's hard to believe that his bigest parody hit came from probably his worst-selling CD, Poodle Hat.

Well atually his biggest parody was White N Nerdy from Straight Outta Lynwood but we were going with the original versions of the songs for the rankings.

I kinda worded that wrong. I meant that "Lose Yourself" was the biggest hit that he later parodied. As you said, it spent 12 weeks at the top, and "Couch Potato" is on Poodle Hat, which maybe is his poorest selling CD.

Eh, he goes through dry spells where he isn't as popular. He is again now, so thats cool.
BTW, I saw a commercial for a concert to be broadcast on Comedy Central on October 1st!
