I know this site is mainly around AT 40 shows but hey.....I love many music formats and one of my favourites is "Country" particularly the 70's and 80's. Is anybody aware of whether any Classic Country or other Country format stations are running the "Retro" editions of American Country Countdown which started with Don Bowman as compere in the 1970's and then later featured Bob Kingsley from the late 70's early 80's period. I would love to know.

No, and chances are with Bob Kingsley hosting a rival countdown show to American Country Countdown you can pretty much bet there won't be until Bob retires or ACC dies. I'm hoping for the latter personally.

Why was Don Bowman replaced by Bob Kingsley & why was Bob Kingsley replaced by Kix Brooks?

I'm pretty sure Don Bowman left to go on tour with Willie Nelson. Bob KIngsley left after some issue but still counts down the Top 40 country on his own show now which I think is carried on just as many radio stations as ACC. This is "Country Top 40" web page is ct40.com/
