Had a chance to listen to the last part of the show 7/16/2011, (1st airing, now, on Friday morning 4am-8am eastern). Jcaragon is right Neil Patrick does sound like Seacrest. Harris does a great job and very entertaining and that's the last hour.

I have it on now, and I agree, he's doing a nice job. I waa 'sleep listening' earlier, and I swear at some point he said something like "I feel like Shadoe Stevens"

I waa 'sleep listening' earlier, and I swear at some point he said something like "I feel like Shadoe Stevens" Yes he did, and between that and Larry Morgan's voiceover in the 1988 Casey show that's two mentions of Shadoe this weekend, notable because his tenure is rarely if ever acknowledged on air by Seacrest or Premiere. Usually nowadays Casey's Top 40 is treated as AT40 from 1989-98; last year Ryan said that AT40 had been on air for 40 consecutive years, which can only be true if CT40 is counted toward that total.

While he wasn't 'great' I did enjoy the NPH show. I rarely listen to AT40 these days but I didn't have to work this weekend, and would have listened anyway, it just happened to be a guest host. I felt like NPH definitely 'got' AT40, unlike most if Ryan's subs who treat it like Entertainment Tonight

Wow...that's awesome. What was said by Larry on the 1988 show? Didn't get to listen to that one yet.

Wow...that's awesome. What was said by Larry on the 1988 show? Didn't get to listen to that one yet. When Larry introduced the optional extra of Guns 'n' Roses' "Sweet Child O'Mine", he noted that it hit #1 in September 1988, and that Shadoe was AT40 host by that time.

WNIC is airing the Hot AC AT40 with NPH until midnight tonight. This is the 3rd week in the row WNIC is airing this show. Those folks continue on screwing up airing countdown shows just like when they used to air Casey.

That is nothing compare to how WLEG-FM Froggy repeats 6 weeks in a row a retro Rick Dees´s show ( from the 80s). And the same station plays regulary Rick Dees´s current chart show.
