My choices for this past weekend's songs that will still be played many years from now are:
DANCING QUEEN (edging out HOTEL CALIFORNIA )
and
BILLIE JEAN (despite the baggage, because it's one of the closest-to-perfect pop productions ever recorded, as was DANCING QUEEN)
Would love to see other opinions on this. I think HEARD IT IN A LOVE SONG might be the best of the 80, but I can't see it outlasting several others. If extras were included my favorite by far would be MAINSTREET, one of my all-time favorite songs.

Billie Jean over Beat It? I know BJ was the bigger hit, but BI featured Eddie Van Halen. If you are talking videos, then Beat It definitely gets the nod over Billie Jean as real gangs are in the video.
