Match Game didn't air that week? That's not the answer, but it did involve a match. And it was very, very sad. I think it's safe to say that tens of millions of people shed tears because of it.

I assume you're talking about the "Special" weekend in 1975 that featured the first show re-broadcast, and not a modern-day airing on AT40: The 70s (which would be considered "rebroadcasts")?

That is the answer. She was actually killed the next day. It might have been the most shocking thing shown on live national TV between Jack Ruby and Challenger. I had taped the AT40 and was listening to it during the race broadcast. I have always remembered those two things together because of that.
