Match Game didn't air that week? That's not the answer, but it did involve a match. And it was very, very sad. I think it's safe to say that tens of millions of people shed tears because of it. |

I assume you're talking about the "Special" weekend in 1975 that featured the first show re-broadcast, and not a modern-day airing on AT40: The 70s (which would be considered "rebroadcasts")?  |

That is the answer. She was actually killed the next day. It might have been the most shocking thing shown on live national TV between Jack Ruby and Challenger. I had taped the AT40 and was listening to it during the race broadcast. I have always remembered those two things together because of that. |
