I was wondering if any of the themes are available sans Casey. Mainly the 79/80 era hourly closing music and the show closing music. They are fantastic pieces of music and I'd love a clean full copy!

Wow! Two and a half minutes of the original AT40 theme with a cold ending blew me away. I know in 1975 after the #1 song. The updated "moog" theme was used under Casey's voice and after his trademark closing it would segue to the full "Shuckatoom" theme. This occured for about a month or two until "Shuckatoom" replaced as the theme "up and under" Casey's show outro. Sometimes Watermark/ABC would press "in the clear" themes in a locked groove on a selected side of an LP normally on the first week in a quarter cycle. They usually use the hour opening theme to the best of my knowledge. The first time it was used was on 10/13/1973 show after the close of hour 2 according to Pete's book that I put under my pillow when I go to sleep. These would be "lifted" for promos of the show by the local stations. In the mid-80s Casey would dry voice three or four 30-second promos and the operator would mix the two together.

I had those two but thanks jcaragon. I was hoping for the end of hour music (from 79, 80 etc...) and end of show theme. (not Shuckatoom) the "alternate" sounding version.

Here you have an outro theme, well the video contains it, from modern AT40 , in fact the final show by Casey in july 2004: www.youtube.com/watch?v=RnBFBilOk-o Some original copies from the 80´s show has that theme you are talking about, but it is with Casey´s voice and the song played at the final of each hour. That theme is superb and rocks. I dont know how is called. See your yahoo. |

I edited around the talking a bit and have a nice sounding one, but I'd love the hi hat music Casey talks over!
