We don't talk about "American Idol" much on this board, but I just want to pose the question to people who have seen the show. Pia Toscano, clearly the best singer in the competition, was sent home. Was anyone surprised (I was)? Did you think Casey Abrams deserved the judges' save two weeks ago if there was a possibility down the road where someone like Pia could be in need of the save? Do you think the Idol winner will ultimately be another cute guy as we have seen the last couple of years (Lee Dewyze, Kris Allen, etc.)?

I fully agree with you that Pia Toscana should be the best singer in the competion and that she should not be sent home. This was the biggest surprise for me in the history of the American Idol show.

I just heard on "Dancing With The Stars" that eliminated Idol contestant Pia Toscano will perform on next week's results show. Interesting.

Well, we have another surprising ejection to report on.
I thought for sure James Durbin was going to win it all (heck, I voted for him!). Unfortunately, not a lot of people agreed with me.
The cute guy winning factor could come into play again if Scotty McCreery wins. There is also Haley Reinhart (current Vote for the Worst pick) and Lauren Alaina (who, like Scotty, normally sings country). Heck we may as well rename the show "Country Idol" for the next two weeks!
