April 9, 1988 on XM 80s today... song order?

The APRIL 9 , 1988 show is the one from te marathon countdown day that was REALLY messed up in terms of song order... I was only casually listening today as it recorded... did it seem like it was in order to you guys or was it messed up as it was in the marathon?

XM has never had any luck with that show. It was messed up when played as part of Casey Kasemas in 2002-2003 and is still a problem today. I'll go back, check and see if I have a better copy and let you know.

Actually, they were supposed to do 1980 today but got the wrong date November 11. How could there be a Nov 11 show if the first show for that month was Nov 1. I just got home and saw 1988 on my Skyfi and was a bit startled-Casey wasn't doing AT40 in Nov 1988, Shadoe was and if they played this time in 1988 this would be the first Shadoe show that XM has broadcast to my knowledge.

Probably an error on the part of the XM 80s staff. As Shannon has suggested in the past, I'd send them a friendly email letting them know that you are aware of the problem. They have been very good about responding to the email I send them on occasion. The email address is available on the xmradio.com website under the 80s on 8 section.

Casey's last 80s AT40 was 8-6-88. He was (and is) doing the April 9th show that is airing today. I ask because from what Ive listened to, the order seems to be correct. Which means XM did a good thing and made sure they are played in the proper order. I just wanted to verify this with anyone who is also listening.

I listened to it, and the songs were indeed in the correct order.

I was surprised to hear this show, as I'd expected the 1980 show But it was one of my favourite episodes, so I'm not complaining

Hmmm... this is really strange...
...according to XM they should've aired Nov 11'th 1980 show sunday & this following thursday

...meaning: no encore this week on XM

Was it a comp.glitch again?

I thought that was odd also, mainly because there is no November 11, 1980 show.

Hmm... I hope they stick to this weeks schedule on 70's channel.
I'd really like that Dec '79 show which is suppose to air on Saturday
