OK, What songs, were big hits (lets say 10-20ish or better) and you NEVER hear them get recurrent airplay, AND it makes you mad because it was a great song?
Mine are: You're Not Alone by Chicago (#10 in 1989) Body Language by Queen (#11 in 1982) Radio Ga Ga by Queen (#16 in 1984) One Lonely Night By REO Sppedwagon (#19 in 1985)

OMG, I could make a list that would take an hour to write of such songs.

One that immediately comes to mind for me is Animotion's 1989 song Room To Move (peaked at #9). I like that one a lot better than Obsession, yet I haven't heard it on the radio in over 20 years.

Madonna - Open Your Heart (#1 1987) I dunno about this one...every so often it'll pop up. I dunno if I'd call the rest BIG hits, but I do agree that they seem to mostly be lost to history - though "Is it Love" did once pop up on a station in my area that plays obscure semi-hits every now and then.

I dunno, I'd say that was a big hit. At the time, it got alot of airplay and anything from the top 10 must have been getting alot of airplay somewhere....

As an add on, narrowing it maybe... And you hear other, lesser hits by that group...
Example: By Chicago, I hear If She Would Have Been Faithful and Love Me Tomorrow alot on A/C formats, but never You're Not Alone which was a bit rocky, then again my local A/C station plays disco songs like Stayin Alive and Modern Rock songs like Since U Been Gone by Kelly Clarkson.
Queen's Fat Bottomed Girls gets more airplay than either song I mentioned
and REO's song Roll With The Changes didn't even chart in the 40 but its on more than any of their other tunes.

Agree with this completely! Animotion had just replaced the original female lead with Cynthia Rhodes if I remember correct. My choices: Don't Disturb This Groove - The System (#4-1987, #1 R&B) Heart and Soul -T' Pau (ironically #4 as well in 1987) Two of Hearts - Stacey Q (#3, 1985)

Hmmm, let's see......
Who's Holding Donna Now--DeBarge (#6 Pop, #1 AC 1985)--In the last 10-15 years or so, I've only heard this song played ONCE on any local stations, and that was just last summer when my local AC managed to dig it out, much to my surprise.
Cool Night--Paul Davis (#11 1981)-- I hear '65 Love Affair all the time, but never this one. I only discovered this one while out of town some years ago.
If She Would've Been Faithful--Chicago (#17 1987)--Someone on here said he hears it played a lot. Personally I don't think I ever have. The only post-Cetera songs I ever hear on the radio locally are "Will You Still Love Me?" and "Look Away".
And I agree with Room To Move. I never hear it played locally.
I know there's tons more......

Don't Disturb This Groove - The System (#4-1987, #1 R&B) Heart and Soul -T' Pau (ironically #4 as well in 1987) Two of Hearts - Stacey Q (#3, 198 56) In this order: Yes, NO!, yes...ish. I've heard "Two of Hearts" come up on a couple of occasions, but not very often. "Heart and Soul", on the other hand, I hear pretty regularly. Re: Chicago - I never hear anything post-Cetera from them around here. Actually, I don't even hear their last Cetera hit ("Along Comes a Woman"), either. Come to think of it, I've never heard last weekend's 80s #1, "Jacob's Ladder", played outside of AT40, either. I did know the song already since I went and bought the Huey Lewis & The News hits collection a couple years back, but the only times I've heard it on the radio have been for AT40 re-airings.

I think its all in the local stations we all have. If She Would Have Been Faithful gets some airplay on a local A/C station here. Heart & Soul by T'Pau gets played alot here. Jacob's Ladder as well!

There are a lot of songs that could qualify for this list. That's why I'm glad I've still got all my 45s!

Last year or the year before, Stacey Q actually performed Two of Hearts live on the TODAY show.

Yeah, I think you're right. It all depends on your local stations. The last 2 songs you mentioned get some decent airplay here as well. And about a month or so ago, I even heard Madonna's Causing A Commotion on a local retro show!!!! Now THAT's one you don't hear anymore!!!
