I thought I'd pass this along to any board posters who live in the New York metropolitan area-The 2011 Beatles Convention will be taking place the weekend of March 25th-March 27th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Secaucus,NJ-Complete information can be found at The Fest.com.

Yesterday,3/26,I attended the 2011 Fest For Beatles Fans at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Secaucus,NJ-To say that I was impressed would be an understatement-When my friend & I arrived at the Crowne Plaza,we went to the vendor's area-I couldn't believe the amount of Beatles merchandise I saw.
There were lunch boxes,45 RPM record cases,magazines,newspapers-I even saw a gold record award for "Sgt.Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" which went for $7,000!-We then went to the main auditorium & saw an exhibition of rare Beatles photographs-After that,Lawrence Juber performed acoustic versions of Beatle classics-Juber was a member of Wings which featured Paul Mc Cartney-Juber is a fantastic guitar player.
I next saw Joey Molland,an original member of the group Badfinger,who were best known for hits like "Come & Get It" & "Day After Day"-He had some interesting anecdotes about working with John Lennon on his 1971 album "Imagine".
Although I didn't stay that long,it was a day I'll never forget-I highly recommend attending a Beatles convention-You won't regret it.
