Hi.
Once Casey mentioned my home town radio station in the station mention slot.
As another country station, it was mentioned at the end as :
"In Radio Cádiz, Cádiz , Spain".
It was a post april 20th 1985 show , maybe of 1986....
I want to know the exactly show. I know it has not been aired by Premiere in the lastest months.
Those days some Spanish radio station were mentioned. My local FM station even took that Casey´s part to do their own special jingle.
Thanks.

According to Pete Battistini's 80's book (page 494), Radio Cadiz, Spain was mentioned in the March 12, 1988 show.

I see with all these Premier presentations, Casey mentions the date of the charts and the end of the show.
Well, I dont remember that thing, the mention of any time or date, at the end of the show when listening to them via AFRTS Rota, Cadiz, Spain.
The shows were 2 weeks of delay compared to the ones aired in The States.
So my question is: Is it possible the shows received at the station in Rota were edited , without the mention of the date?.
I mean, timeless shows for the overseas stations. That was with Casey and Shadoe shows.
In 1990 or so I visited the AFRTS station on a Saturday morning ( the show was given Saturdays 2 to 6 pm) and on the studio table were the 4 LP album of American Top 40 ready to be played.
The radio guy told us they received the material from home with 2 weeks of delay talking about radio and 3 or 4 weeks of delay talking about TV. They had received already the satellite feeds and some radio and TV contents were taken from the huge satellite dish from AFRTS satellite ( sport, talk radio show, etc), but the syndicated shows were received by mail. He showed us the content library and told us the material were destroyed in order to keep safe the copyrights.

Since a time ago I wanted to treat this subject.
Listening an 80´s show of AT40, in the 80´s, on AFRTS Rota , Cádiz, Spain , there was a problem with the show, when Footloose by Kenny Loggins was played.
The show, apparently, was served to the station on reel to reel format, because in some parts of the song by Loggins, the song was accelerated, you know, double velocity or so on the reel to reel.
I thought it was a local problem on the Rota station, but then I remember those days the shows were delivered on vynil or LP´s. So I started thinking it could be a problem from the origin.
Does anybody know if it could be an incident all over the stations taking the show, I meant, with the master tape or so?. I really dont think so, AT40 production has been always very pulcre.
Thanks.
