I recently seen a copy of Billboard from June 1970, the No1 song was 'The Long And Winding Road'/'For You Blue' by The Beatles. What I don't understand is The Beatles '1' album has every no1 in UK and USA included, but 'For You Blue' is not on it. Did Billboard make a mistake?

I can't speak for the Billboard stats but your query comes at a time when Westwood One's "The Beatle Years" is doing a survey of all their #1s; both U.S. and U.K. Part One aired January 8th/9th. Not sure if 'The Long And Winding Road'/'For You Blue' will be included on Part Two or Part Three (if there is) but all double-sides are being listed.
UPDATE The program had 'The Long And Winding Road' as a stand-alone #1 while 'Something/Come Together' was a double-side.
