I am a little late with this but I would like to take time to remember the recording artists who we lost last year. Some we know about; some were not reported. All had singles on the charts.
Alex Chilton (The Box Tops) Jimmy Dean Art Linkletter (#42 in 1969 with "We Love You, Call Collect") Eddie Platt (another version of "Tequila") Doug Fieger (The Knack) Crispian St. Peters ("The Pied Piper") Bobby Hebb ("Sunny") Robert Wilson (The Gap Band) Lolly Vegas (Redbone) Teddy Pendergrass (HM + The Bluenotes) Lee Freeman (The Strawberry Alarm Clock) Eddie Fisher Dale Hawkins ("Suzie-Q") Mitch Miller Teena Marie Robert "Squirrel" Lester (The Chi-Lites) Ted Kowalski (sang tenor with The Diamonds) Dave Fisher (The Highwaymen) Cherie DeCastro (the last surviving member of The DeCastro Sisters) Al Goodman (The Moments and Ray, Goodman, & Brown) Ronnie James Dio Johnny Maestro (The Crests and The Brooklyn Bridge)
Please feel free to add more names!
