Top Pop Songs Of All Time

As many of you know already, the ARC Weekly Top 40 is my favorite countdown of all time, even better than the Billboard Hot 100. Well, they recently came up with a new list that ranks the top pop songs of all time. They got their info from their own charts (1980-2010 songs only) & also the Billboard Hot 100 (1960-1979 songs only). There are no songs from 1959 or before yet. They did their own chart methodolgy to come up with the top songs. It was revealed that the #1 pop song of all time according to the ARC Weekly Top 40 is "The Twist" by Chubby Checker. Hard to believe that there are so many songs from the last few years. While younger people who may like these songs would probably disagree, I find it difficult to accept that so many of them could rank higher than classics such as Endless Love and I Will Always Love You. I plan to compile a chart of the biggest songs of the rock era myself and I know that I will have to come up with some method to prevent all these songs from the last few years from dominating the chart, while giving them some credit for their accomplishment.
