Paul McCartney and Merle Haggard are among the Kennedy Center Honorees for 2010 along with composer/lyricist Jerry Herman, choreographer Bill T. Jones and Oprah Winfrey.
The Ceremony takes place in Washington December 5th and will air on CBS-TV December 28th.

This will be the second award to be bestowed upon Sir Paul in 2010-In June,he was the third recipient of the Gershwin Award for popular music.

Steven Tyler, Norah Jones, Dave Grohl and Gwen Stefani and No Doubt perform in the salute to Sir Paul, Willie Nelson leads the tribute to Merle. Also appearances by Alec Baldwin, Julia Roberts, Carol Channing and Angela Lansbury. Again, the telecast is Tuesday December 28th.
At the Gershwin Award ceremony Dave Grohl did a sensational rendition of "Band On The Run". I wonder if he does the same here.
