Just curious as to whether anyone has this book? Record Research announced that they'd make this edition available in book form in a limited edition - I guess they want to move more to CD-ROM in the future.
I got my copy last week and am a bit disappointed in it. I'm happy to have it in book form (I'd be willing to bet the '10s will never be available that way), but compared to previous decades chart books, the quality isn't great.
In previous editions, the images were very clear. This book you can tell they're taking a photocopy of a magazine page. Also, as Billboard changed the design of the Hot 100 in mid-00s, the images don't translate very well in black and white and it's hard to read many of the numbers, such as weeks on chart. That's not really the fault of Record Research, but it's noticable.
Since it's been 10 years since the last book, maybe the process they used transferring the charts has changed. the previous editions were beautiful.

I have very little interest in the music of the 2000's with the exception of songs that have made the adult contemporary chart.

I only bought the CD-ROM version, since it's not a decade that I'm likely to refer to that often (unlike my '70s and '80s editions, which are falling to pieces), and I didn't figure the newer charts would translate well to B&W anyway (I remember when Billboard did the first redesign in 2001 -- it was difficult to read the charts even in the full-size magazine).

I have all the decade cd-roms, book versions weren't available when I went to purchase them and if I couldn't get them all in book form I wasn't going to worry about any of them that way. I don't know why I bought them since I, like mstgator don't really care about the 2000's pop charts. Really, I don't care about the Hot 100 at all by some point in 1992.
But, the CD-rom versions are very clear which is understandable since it is the full color magazine version.

I too was disappointed when I got my copy of 'The 2000's' book. It is only 11-1/4 inches tall. The other HOT 100 chart books are 12-1/4 inches tall, 1 inch taller. Now the new book looks funny when it is put on the bookshelf along with the other HOT 100 chart books.
Since the charts seemed smaller, I compared a 2000 chart to 1999. I was surprised to see, they were the same size.
In the 1990's book, the bottom of the chart is 2 inches from the edge of the book. In the 2000's book, the bottom of the chart is 3/4 inches from the edge of the book.
I do agree with the comment about readability. The full color charts didn't translate to black & white very well.
