I'd be interested if anyone listens or records AT40 on WODS. I used to listen to The Lost 45s which is on prior to AT40. I stopped listening, because I was constantly frustrated with web commercials that would continually interrupt the show (even in the middle of songs). I wonder if they do the same thing with AT40. What he said^^^ That's the EXACT reason why I quit trying to listen to the Lost 45s on WODS. I can barely pick it up on the Cape on the radio, so I have to resort to listening to it online. But it does get frustrating, especially hearing half a song with the late intro from constant web commercials.

With two shows being featured again this week (last week's 3-25-72 carryover and this week's 5-6-72), things may start to settle down in comparison to a week ago.
Many thanks to pizzzza and others who've maintained a watchful eye (or ear!) on station programming. There are many who monitor this site without an account and undoubtedly are grateful for your efforts.

It's definitely an ongoing project - and with all of the help of a great group of people on this board, makes for a very worthwhile reference for AT 40 fans. I hope to get things "caught up" this weekend!

Ok - I just updated the list, and added all the stations (that I'm aware of) that played [glow=red,2,300] AT 40 - 70s - 4 Hour Edition[/glow]- last weekend.
Please let me know if there are any errors, or if I missed a station (or two).
Also, did most of the stations start one hour EARLY or did they run one hour LATE?
Thanks everyone!

Saturday 7 am - 10 am WMVL - COOL 101.7 - Classic Rock 'N Roll Hits - Meadville PA 101.7 FM www.cool1017online.com/listenlive.htmlHey pizzzzza ...I listened to WMVL today and it seems they do play the Optional Extras (only 2) but not at the end of the hour. 1st hour extra was at the start of the last segment of hour 2. 3rd hour extra was at the start of the 3rd segment of hour 3. Not sure if that will be the placement pattern of the extras but it was a pleasant surprise when I heard them...after not expecting any.

I'll add what you said as a notation to the station.

Along with the indicator as to which stations air the 4-hour versions, start times need to also be listed. Several stations started the 4-hour version an hour earlier than their regular start times.
WORC, WHVO, and KTHI all started an hour early.

Somebody has mentioned a station taking AT40 The 70´s show on Bedford, Indiana on 105.5 FM. And I dont know if this station has been mentioned above, sorry if so, but it seems it has no stream. www.superoldies.net/shows/WQRK has the 70´s show on Saturdays, 07.00 to 10.00 am EST.

WORC, WHVO, and KTHI all started an hour early. Agreed - that's why I had made the comment about starting times when those particular stations aired the 4 hour version last week. Thanks for those that you listed - just a few more, and we'll have a more complete list of AT 40 - 70s - stations that air the 4 hour version, along with start time (when they do).

They've stopped carrying the 1970s edition in place of the 1980s countdowns, although I don't know when they switched, they do indeed skip the first hour (boo!!!), and the correct starting time is Midnight (EDT).

I listened to WODC this weekend for the Dick Clark show so I could complete some patch repairs for last weekend's recording. Somehow, I had the impression they played all 3 extras. Instead, they only played 1 out of 3. It wasn't a big deal for this program since all the extras were introduced by Larry Morgan. However, I do prefer to record the extras if they were part of the original program. I had been meaning to check out WODC for some time now since it appears Mike Eiland at the station is a true advocate for the show, plus they now air the 4 hour 1978-1979 broadcasts. I also wonder (if anyone knows) whether or not they make it a priority to play those extras which were part of the original broadcast (the original AT40 extras)?

Those who can...owe it to themselves to check out the Smooth70s broadcast sometime. Some cool UK and year-appropriate special extras. Right now: Shirley Bassey.

Right now, they are planning Bill Withers "Lean on Me" following the AT40 optional extra "Lean on Me" by Bill Withers! BTW, I was listening to 3/25/72 with Dick Clark on WODC this morning. Immediately after playing the #1 song "A Horse With No Name", the very next song on WODC's playlist was "A Horse With No Name"
